Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate new academic buildings at two premier Jabalpur institutions on October 6.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav: The projects include Prime Minister College of Excellence and Government Mahakoshal College, constructed at a cost of Rs 13.37 crore, and the Government Science College, whose new building was built for Rs 10.05 crore. In addition, Dr. Yadav will perform Bhumipujan for another building at Mahakoshal College worth Rs 3.67 crore.
During the visit, the CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will preside over a Talent Honour Programme to recognise students excelling in academics, sports, cultural activities, innovation and social service. The event will see the presence of Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Rajya Sabha member Smriti Sumitra Balmiki, MP Shri Ashish Dubey, Mayor Shri Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, MLA Shri Ashok Rohani, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Shri Rikunja Vij and Jan Bhagidari Committee Chairperson Shri Ashish Rao.

According to Prof. Alkesh Chaturvedi, Principal of Prime Minister College of Excellence, the new academic building includes 19 lecture halls, an administrative block, smart classrooms, a library, laboratories and common rooms. The facility is designed to align with the Prime Minister’s Excellence Scheme and will strengthen the institution’s position as a leading educational centre in the state.
Prof. Chaturvedi said that the inauguration will mark a golden chapter in Mahakoshal College’s proud history. Nearly 1,500 students, parents, educators, and citizens are expected to witness the event, which symbolises Jabalpur’s educational and youthful energy while setting new standards of excellence and innovation in Madhya Pradesh.
