In the lead-up to the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the latest C-Voter opinion poll for October has revealed dramatic shifts in public preference for chief ministerial candidates. Tejashwi Yadav and Prashant Kishor have gained momentum, while incumbent Nitish Kumar’s approval has dipped.

Tejashwi Yadav (RJD) tops the chart with 36.3%, making him the most preferred CM candidate this month.

Rising Stars: Tejashwi & PK
Tejashwi Yadav has held steady in the top position despite fluctuations over the months. After touching ~40% earlier in the year and then dropping to 31.3% in August, he reclaimed strength in September and now registers 36.3% in October.
Prashant Kishor, meanwhile, has gradually climbed from 14.9% in February to 23.2% this month, overtaking Nitish in public perception.

Nitish’s Declining Clout
Once a front-runner, Nitish’s support has steadily dropped from earlier highs. By September, his approval had dipped to about 16%, and October sees a further decline to 15.9%.
Others in the Race

Chirag Paswan‘s rating eased from 9.5% in September to 8.8% in October.
