Bhajan Lal Sharma will transfer ₹717.96 crore to farmers’ accounts as the fourth installment of the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Nadbai in Bharatpur district on October 18th.
Cooperation and Civil Aviation Minister Gautam Kumar Dak stated that with the launch of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, a historic step was taken toward providing direct financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across the country. On August 2nd of this year, Prime Minister Modi distributed ₹20,500 crore to 97 million farmers as the 20th installment. Dak stated that the state government has given a gift to farmers in Rajasthan by implementing the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on June 30, 2024. The annual assistance provided under this scheme has been increased from ₹6,000 to ₹8,000.
It was announced that this amount would be further increased to ₹9,000 per year in the financial year 2025-26. He explained that now, through a joint initiative between the Central and State governments, farmers in Rajasthan will receive financial assistance of ₹9,000 per year directly into their bank accounts through the DBT system with complete transparency. This initiative will not only increase farmers’ income but also strengthen the rural economy. Dak stated that 71.79 lakh farmers in the state have benefited so far under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

He explained that grassroots workers and local public representatives are being actively involved in promoting the scheme. Groundworkers are spreading information about the scheme to every village and hamlet, increasing both awareness and participation among farmers. Farmers’ eligibility for the scheme is confirmed after verification of land records, e-KYC, Aadhaar, and bank accounts. Only eligible farmer families are granted benefits.
The scheme is having a widespread impact in the state. Smallholder farmers, who previously struggled with the uncertainties of weather, markets, or input costs, now have stable financial support for basic needs like seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation. This support increases cash flow in the rural economy, boosting local markets.
