Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma leads grand Unity March in Jaipur on Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, praises PM Modi for revoking Article 370, and highlights youth empowerment and national integration initiatives under the Sardar 150 campaign.
Rajasthan: On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, a grand Unity March was organized in Jaipur on Friday morning, highlighting national integration and youth engagement. The march, which began at Gandhi Circle and proceeded through Birla Mandir, Rambagh, and Ambedkar Circle to Amar Jawan Jyoti, was led by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Addressing the public during the event, CM Bhajan Lal praised the historical contributions of Sardar Patel, known as the Iron Man of India, for uniting over 550 princely states and creating a strong, unified nation. He said, “The vision, diplomacy, and determination of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation of a united India, and today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled Patel’s unfinished mission by revoking Article 370, realizing the dream of a fully integrated India.”

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of youth as the country’s biggest strength, noting that the Rajasthan government is committed to empowering young citizens. He also highlighted the state’s participation in the two-month-long Sardar@150 national campaign, which includes youth-focused activities such as quizzes, essay competitions, reel contests, tree plantation drives under “Sardar Upvan,” and the Vocal for Local initiative.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma stated, “Sardar Patel’s legacy continues to inspire us, and the Unity March is a reflection of our collective commitment to national integration. The bell of unity will ring in every district of Rajasthan through similar events.”
The march saw participation from students of various educational institutions, NSS and NCC units, youth leaders, police, RAC, Home Guards, employee unions, NGOs, government officials, and thousands of citizens, creating a vibrant display of solidarity and patriotism.
This event not only commemorates the historic contributions of Sardar Patel but also reinforces the role of youth and citizens in nation-building, echoing the government’s vision of a strong, self-reliant, and united India.
