Haryana Athletes win 8 medals at World Para Athletics Championship 2025*
Haryana Health Minister and President, Haryana Para Athletics Association, Ms. Arti Singh Rao, said that the para athletes of Haryana have brought immense pride to the nation by their remarkable achievements, consistently winning medals in every championship they participate in.
Ms. Arti Singh Rao honoured Haryana’s medal winners of World Para-Athletics Championships at her residence in Chandigarh today and extended her best wishes for their bright future.
The World Para Athletics Championship 2025, held from September 25 to October 5 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, saw outstanding performances from Haryana’s athletes, who won a total of 8 medals, 2 Gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze.

Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that the dedication, determination, and confidence shown by Haryana’s athletes at the World Para Athletics Championship are a matter of great pride and inspiration for the entire state. These players have not only made Haryana proud but have also brought glory to the entire nation with their stellar performances in New Delhi.
Ms. Arti Rao further said that the Haryana Government is committed to providing every possible encouragement, facility, and opportunity to para athletes. The state will soon introduce new policies for para sports, including modern training infrastructure, better equipment, and special scholarship schemes, to ensure that talented athletes can perform to their full potential. The State Government and the Para Sports Association will work together to ensure that every talented athlete gets the opportunity to realize their dreams, she added.
