During the visit, he met local residents and performed prayers at the village temple, wishing for the prosperity and well-being of the state. Dhami also reminisced about his childhood spent in the village and emphasized that every Uttarakhand resident should contribute to the development of their native village, calling it a matter of personal roots and identity.

Recalling his early experiences in the village, Dhami expressed that visiting his ancestral home with his mother was an emotional and unforgettable moment. He shared that upon arrival, the affectionate blessings of the elders and the boundless love of maternal figures filled him with emotions. Several elders still called him by his childhood name, reflecting a sense of belonging and attachment that is hard to put into words. The smiles of the village children and youth brought back vivid memories of lessons learned and inspirations gained during his formative years.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami further noted that every face, every courtyard, and every path seemed filled with memories of his youth. For him, Tundi-Barmaun is not just a village but the foundation of his roots, values, and identity. He urged that, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, every Uttarakhand resident should help rejuvenate their ancestral homes and actively participate in the development of their native villages. According to him, residents living outside their villages can play a key role in supporting local growth and progress.
