AAP achieves landslide victory in Punjab Zila Parishad & Block Samiti elections. Aman Arora credits voters for endorsing AAP government’s governance and people-centric policies.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President Aman Arora on Wednesday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Punjab for giving the party a decisive mandate in the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections, calling the results a clear endorsement of the AAP government’s governance and people-centric policies.

Speaking at a press conference in Chandigarh, Arora congratulated the citizens for the smooth and peaceful conduct of elections held on the 14th, describing them as among the most fair and incident-free local body elections in recent times.

“With the results coming in, it is clear that the Aam Aadmi Party has received a strong and one-sided mandate. I congratulate all Punjabis for reinforcing democracy and trusting good governance,” Arora said. He also congratulated AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, party leaders, MLAs, candidates, and volunteers, emphasizing that this victory reflects both the AAP government’s performance over the past years and the relentless grassroots efforts of party workers.

In the Zila Parishad elections, out of 354 zones in Punjab, results for 71 zones were declared at the time, showing AAP winning 60 zones, Congress 7, Shiromani Akali Dal 1, Independents 2, and BJP 1. Arora noted that nearly 85% of declared results favored AAP, highlighting public confidence in the party’s leadership and policies.

For the Block Samiti elections, out of 2,863 blocks, results for 1,275 blocks were declared, with AAP winning 867 blocks (~68%), Congress 216, Shiromani Akali Dal 129, Independents 63, and BJP 20. This further reinforced the overwhelming public support for AAP and its governance model.

Commenting on the counting process, Arora said, “While ballot counting may be slower, the trend clearly reflects Punjab’s preference for AAP and the policies of the current government. Over the past four years, the AAP government’s work has received a strong endorsement from the people.”

He thanked voters for their support and congratulated all victorious Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members, assuring that AAP will continue to work with honesty, transparency, and dedication to fulfill the aspirations of Punjab.
