MRSAFPI honours eight distinguished alumni with Achiever Awards, inspiring young officers. Aman Arora congratulates achievers and highlights Punjab government’s support for youth in Defence Forces.
The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in SAS Nagar celebrated excellence by honoring eight recently commissioned officers with the prestigious Achiever Awards, reaffirming the Punjab government’s commitment under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to support youth aspirations.
The ceremony recognized eight AFPIANs who were commissioned into the Defence Services in 2025 — seven in November/December and one in March. During the event, the young officers interacted with current cadets, sharing their experiences from pre-commissioning academies and motivating them to serve the nation and bring pride to Punjab.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Minister Aman Arora congratulated the achievers, stating, “Their success will inspire Punjab’s youth to serve the nation with honour and make the state proud.”

MRSAFPI Director, Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM (Retd), applauded the officers and expressed hope that the training at MRSAFPI would provide them a strong foundation to excel in their Defence careers. He highlighted that under the leadership of CM Mann and Aman Arora, the Punjab government is actively supporting the institute and providing ample opportunities for youth to join the armed forces.
Established in 2011, MRSAFPI has emerged as a premier feeder institute for the Defence Forces. To date, 278 cadets have joined NDA and other defence academies, with 186 commissioned as officers. Currently, 10 more cadets have received joining letters for NDA/other academies, and 47 cadets are preparing for their Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
The Achiever Awards ceremony not only honored distinguished alumni but also served as a motivation for the next generation of officers to strive for excellence and uphold the legacy of MRSAFPI.
