CM Yogi also emphasised the impact of scientific initiatives on improving farm productivity, particularly the Soil Health Card scheme launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The Soil Health Card program has helped farmers understand the condition of their soil. Earlier, only a few farmers had access to this vital information, but now many farmers are making informed decisions about crop selection, fertiliser use, and overall farm management, which has led to better yields and reduced costs,” the CM explained.
The event, held in honour of Chaudhary Charan Singh, celebrated as a champion of farmers’ rights, reaffirmed the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to empowering cultivators through mechanisation, technology adoption, and targeted welfare schemes.
