Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said the government will soon take a decision on Ankita Bhandari case. Legal aspects are under review as her parents raised concerns.

The Uttarakhand government is expected to take a decision soon regarding the sensitive Ankita Bhandari case. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the murder of the young woman, who was both a sister and a daughter, has deeply affected her parents, and the government is closely reviewing the matter.

During a meeting with Ankita Bhandari’s parents, the Chief Minister said that several concerns were raised, which the government will consider carefully before reaching a decision. “The case is highly sensitive, and the parents have faced immense grief due to the loss of their daughter. We are prepared to facilitate any investigation requested by the family,” CM Dhami added.

Political Accountability Demanded

The Chief Minister also highlighted the political controversies surrounding the case. He urged those exploiting Ankita’s death for political gain to apologize to the people of Uttarakhand. “An audio clip has gone viral, and certain political leaders failed to take responsibility. Their actions created instability and tried to incite the public, which is unacceptable,” CM Dhami said.

The CM further emphasized that another audio recording has emerged, and opposition leaders must clarify their position and issue a public apology. “Legal proceedings are ongoing. The Delhi High Court has already delivered its decision, and the State Investigation Team (SIT) is continuing its investigation into the events that followed,” he added.

Government Decision Pending Legal Review

The government is taking a cautious approach by consulting legal experts before finalizing any decision on the concerns raised by Ankita’s parents. CM Dhami assured that the administration is committed to a fair, transparent, and legally sound resolution in the sensitive matter.
