Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the concluding session of the Gorakhpur Festival, drawing a striking analogy between mosquitoes and mafia. The CM stated that just as a mosquito makes a body unhealthy, the mafia disrupts society. He emphasized that lack of social awareness and hygiene can lead to severe consequences for communities.

Gorakhpur’s Transformation Under Yogi Government

CM Yogi recalled the city’s earlier challenges, when Gorakhpur was infamous for mafia rule and lawlessness. Frequent riots, unsafe environments for women and children, and extortion faced by traders were common. Moreover, encephalitis outbreaks severely affected children, while youth migration was a pressing issue.

The Chief Minister emphasized that today, entrepreneurs and traders operate in a fear-free environment, while citizens, especially women and children, feel safer attending schools and markets. CM Yogi also advised citizens to monitor children’s smartphone usage. He stated that giving children unrestricted access to smartphones is akin to committing a social offense, as it can lead to stubbornness and mental health issues, including depression.

Development Milestones Achieved in Gorakhpur

Yogi highlighted several achievements under his administration, including the establishment of fertilizer plants, operationalization of AIIMS Gorakhpur, and the revival of BRD Medical College as a premier healthcare center. He stressed that these initiatives are now a reality due to proactive governance and dedication to development.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan hailed the CM, saying that under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed the establishment of ‘Ram Rajya’.
