AAP Punjab leader Baltej Pannu criticizes Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi for allegedly supporting drug access, urging leaders to prioritize Punjab youth over traffickers.
In a sharp political attack, AAP Punjab General Secretary and Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu has questioned Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi over his alleged stance on the growing drug problem in Punjab.
Speaking on the issue, Baltej Pannu said, “Instead of being a parliamentarian who guides people to fight against drugs, showing them ways to obtain drugs—what kind of wisdom is this? If Congress leaders are siding with drug traffickers instead of standing with Punjab and its youth, then they should openly admit it in front of the public.”
Baltej Pannu emphasized that the youth of Punjab are facing a serious threat from drug abuse, and political leaders must take a clear and responsible stance to curb this menace. He accused the Congress MP of misguiding public opinion and failing to prioritize the welfare of Punjab’s younger generation.

The AAP leader further stated that drug trafficking and abuse have caused untold damage to Punjab’s social fabric, and any attempt to undermine anti-drug initiatives will not be tolerated by the people. He urged all political parties to work together in the interest of the state rather than resorting to tactics that confuse and endanger the youth.
Baltej Pannu’s remarks have added fuel to the ongoing political debate in Punjab over drug-related crimes and the accountability of elected representatives in addressing the issue.
