Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to embark on a four-day official visit to Singapore and Japan from February 22 to 26, aiming to attract investments, enhance industrial cooperation, and strengthen international partnerships for the state.
The trip follows the conclusion of the UP Assembly budget session. During his visit, CM Yogi Adityanath will meet global investors, representatives from the Indian diaspora, and industry leaders to showcase investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
Itinerary and Key Highlights
Singapore Visit (February 23-24): CM Yogi Adityanath will meet Indian-origin business leaders and investors, discussing investment avenues across sectors such as automobiles, semiconductors, electronics, biotechnology, renewable energy, fintech, and logistics. Additionally, community events will be held where he will address the Indian diaspora.

Japan Visit (February 25-26): The CM Yogi Adityanath will participate in several official programs, including visiting a Shri Ram and Hanuman temple near Tokyo, and experience the country’s high-speed Maglev train technology to study its applications for industrial growth in UP. CM Yogi’s Japan visit will also feature investment roadshows and meetings with local authorities and Indian-origin communities.
An 11-member delegation will accompany him, including Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Industrial Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Chief Minister’s Advisor Avneesh Awasthi, and key officials from departments of labor, IT, tourism, and investment promotion.

This foreign tour is seen as crucial for achieving UP’s target of becoming a $1 trillion economy. By engaging with international investors and Indian-origin business communities, the government hopes to boost industrial projects and create employment opportunities across the state.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav commented on the tour, humorously suggesting that CM Yogi should also visit Kyoto, Japan, to learn from the city’s heritage management and urban development, implying lessons for Varanasi’s urban planning.
