Haryana CM Nayab Saini sets a national record with MSP procurement for 24 crops, challenges opposition allegations, and highlights trade deal benefits for farmers.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has boldly challenged the opposition over Minimum Support Price (MSP) procurement, asserting that the state has set a national record by procuring 24 crops at MSP. The CM refuted Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda’s allegations, emphasizing that the achievement reflects reality and not political rhetoric.
Speaking ahead of the Haryana Assembly budget session, CM Nayab Saini said the government’s MSP initiative ensures farmers’ prosperity while supporting the state’s economic growth. “The procurement of 24 crops at MSP is a national record, not just a slogan. If the discussion is based on data, the truth will emerge clearly,” he added.
Opposition Accusations and CM’s Response
Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda questioned the government’s claim, stating that Haryana does not cultivate enough crops to cover 24 varieties under MSP. CM Nayab Saini dismissed the allegation, stating that opposition parties often attempt to divert attention from real issues when they lose political relevance. “The government is focused on farmer welfare, not keeping them entangled in protests,” he said.

The CM Nayab Saini highlighted the potential advantages of international trade deals. CM Saini’s statement reinforces Haryana’s commitment to boosting farmer income, expanding agricultural trade, and promoting economic growth through strategic trade and policy measures.
