Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann meets Tata Group delegation to boost industrial growth in Ludhiana and Mohali. Highlights include steel plant plans and student achievements in JEE Mains.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met with a delegation from the Tata Group to discuss industrial development and investment opportunities in the state. The meeting focused on the upcoming steel plant in Ludhiana and encouraged the Tata Group to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 in Mohali.
The Chief Minister highlighted that his government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been actively working to streamline processes for setting up new industries. By reducing bureaucratic hurdles and minimizing delays, the state has become more investor-friendly, making it easier for businesses to establish operations.
“Punjab is moving rapidly on the path of development. Our government is giving equal attention to all sectors, and the industrial sector is a key priority. Meetings like today’s with the Tata Group are part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen Punjab’s economy,” said CM Bhagwant Mann.

Education Milestone Celebrated
Apart from industrial growth, CM Mann also congratulated students who excelled in the JEE Mains examination. A total of 305 students from Punjab schools cleared the exam, enhancing the state’s reputation in the field of competitive education. Approximately 100 of these top-performing students are associated with the School of Eminence.
“The achievements of our students make us proud. Our goal is to ensure every child in Punjab gets opportunities based on merit, allowing them to fulfill their dreams and contribute to the state’s progress. Through initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education in government schools, we are committed to a revolution in learning standards,” CM Mann added.
