Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini orders ACB probe into IDFC First Bank account irregularities, assures strict action and full recovery of government funds.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini informed the State Assembly that financial discrepancies were detected in government department accounts maintained with IDFC First Bank during routine reconciliation in mid-January.
Addressing the House, the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that as soon as irregularities came to light, the government acted without delay. The bank was instructed to immediately close the concerned accounts and transfer the entire amount, along with applicable interest, to an authorized government bank to safeguard public funds.
Investigation Handed Over to Anti-Corruption Bureau
Emphasizing transparency and accountability, Nayab Singh Saini announced that the matter has been referred to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for a thorough investigation. In addition, a high-level committee has been constituted to examine the issue in detail and determine responsibility.

The Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty. “Whoever is responsible will face the toughest possible action. Every single rupee of the government is secure, and the full amount will be recovered,” he asserted.
Government Committed to Protecting Public Funds
Nayab Singh Saini reiterated that the Haryana Government maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward financial mismanagement and corruption. He said the administration remains fully committed to protecting taxpayers’ money and ensuring robust financial oversight.
Officials have also been directed to strengthen monitoring and auditing mechanisms to prevent such discrepancies in the future. The government’s swift response, he added, reflects its seriousness in maintaining fiscal discipline and transparency.
The development has drawn attention within administrative circles, as the state moves forward with the investigation to uphold accountability in handling public finances.
