Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announced that 450 new doctors will be recruited across the state soon, ensuring that there will be no shortage of medical professionals in Haryana.
Speaking during the discussion on the Governor’s Address in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s Budget Session, Minister Rao highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure. She stated that over 1,400 doctors have already been recruited in just one year, a figure unprecedented before 2014. The new recruitments aim to place doctors wherever they are most needed across the state.

Minister Rao further elaborated that out of the 450 upcoming recruitments, 150 specialist doctors have been appointed through the National Health Mission (NHM), and an additional 150 newly qualified postgraduate doctors will soon join the state health services. She emphasized that the recruitment drive will continue to expand in the coming months to meet growing healthcare demands.
In addition to medical recruitments, the Health Minister also emphasized the government’s focus on preventive healthcare. She highlighted that under the current administration, Haryana is promoting yoga at the grassroots level, appointing yoga assistants in every village to encourage wellness and healthy lifestyles among citizens.
Minister Rao concluded by assuring that these steps will strengthen Haryana’s healthcare system, improve medical access for residents, and ensure timely healthcare delivery across the state.
