There is a Rs 40L bounty on five dead Maoists.

Rs 40L bounty: Following a 48-hour shootout in the Narayanpur area on Tuesday, five Maoists were identified by the Chhattisgarh Police on Thursday. These individuals had a combined bounty of Rs 40 lakhs on their heads.

Adma Vadde, Kamlu Vadde, Konda Togda, Rakesh, and Farsa Tumda are the six, according to Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar.

They were all members of the banned Maoist organization’s People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) Company Number 1 Central Committee protection unit in the Maad Division’s Kutul Area Committee.

A bounty of Rs 8 lakhs was placed on each of their heads.

Based on reports that senior Maoists were present in the district’s forests at Hikulnar, Ghamandi, Jatwar, and surrounding villages, the operation was started on June 30.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police, the Border Security Force, the District Reserve Guard, and STF—all state police units—were all participating in the operation.

From the fighting site, weaponry included a barrel grenade launcher (BGL), six BGL shells, two muzzle-loading guns, three.315 bore rifles, a.303 rifle, and other weapons were taken.
