AAP Punjab President Aman Arora slams BJP over alleged “goondaism” in Municipal Corporation elections and criticizes Ravneet Singh Bittu’s conduct.
Political tensions in Punjab have escalated during the Municipal Corporation elections as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched sharp criticism against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
AAP Punjab President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora strongly condemned what he described as “goondaism” during the ongoing election process. He alleged that the misuse of democratic systems and intimidation tactics have become a repeated pattern associated with the BJP’s election strategy.
According to Aman Arora, such actions damage the spirit of democracy and are unacceptable in a constitutional system. He further stated that it is deeply concerning when senior political leaders are seen participating in activities that, according to him, undermine the electoral process.

The AAP leader also launched a direct attack on Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, accusing him of using inappropriate language against police personnel. Arora claimed that such behavior reflects a “disturbing mindset” and raises serious questions about respect towards law enforcement and women.
He further alleged that the BJP’s approach during elections reflects a disregard for constitutional values, adding that democracy cannot function properly if intimidation and aggressive tactics are used during polling processes.
The remarks have intensified the political confrontation between AAP and BJP in Punjab, especially during the sensitive election period. However, there has been no official response from BJP or Ravneet Singh Bittu regarding these allegations at the time of reporting.
As the election atmosphere heats up, the issue is expected to further fuel political debates and public discussions across the state.
