Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today launched the Haryana City Electric Bus Service in Panipat, marking a major step towards sustainable urban transport in the state. On this occasion, he flagged off 80 electric buses for five districts.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Haryana City Electric Bus Service will significantly reduce dependence on petrol and diesel while also helping control pollution across urban areas.
80 Electric Buses Flagged Off
As part of the Haryana City Electric Bus Service, 80 modern electric buses were dispatched to serve passengers across multiple districts. This initiative aims to provide eco-friendly, efficient, and affordable public transport.
The government has prioritized expanding the City Electric Bus Service to improve last-mile connectivity and reduce carbon emissions.

Inauguration of Electric Bus Depot
During the event, CM Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated an electric bus depot built at a cost of ₹7 crore in Panipat. This depot will support the operations of the City Electric Bus Service and ensure smooth maintenance and charging facilities for the e-bus fleet.
Boost to Green Transport in Haryana

Existing City Bus Network

Electric Bus Depot Expansion
Construction of electric bus depots is underway in eight districts of the state. These infrastructure developments will strengthen the Haryana City Electric Bus Service and support its long-term expansion.
