Haryana announces 14 horticulture science centers at Karnal conference to boost modern farming, innovation, and farmer income across the state.
A National Horticulture Conference was held at the campus of the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), where scientists, researchers, and agricultural experts from across India gathered to discuss the future of agriculture and horticulture development.
Addressing the gathering, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that the conference serves as a significant platform to shape the future of agriculture in India by bridging scientific research with practical farming needs.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the Haryana government is continuously working to ensure that modern agricultural technologies, high-quality planting material, and scientific advisory services reach farmers at the grassroots level.
He noted that horticulture is emerging as a highly profitable alternative for farmers, enabling higher income generation through scientific and diversified farming practices.

14 Horticulture Science Centers to Boost Innovation
In a major announcement, CM Saini stated that the state government is establishing 14 Horticulture Science Centers under the Maharana Pratap Horticultural University.
These centers will act as innovation hubs to promote advanced horticultural research, modern farming techniques, and the development of high-yield crop varieties. The initiative aims to strengthen agricultural infrastructure and promote scientific farming across Haryana.
