Sh. Nayab Singh Saini: Haryana Cabinet nods to the proposal for the same

• Mining Department Officer to be empowered with challaning powers for the goods vehicles carrying mining material only

Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini here today approved a proposal regarding the grant of challaning powers under Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules,1993.

Now, the officers of the Mining Department not below the rank of Mining Officer will also be empowered with challaning powers for the goods vehicles carrying mining material only.

This will help to strengthen the process of checking by the department and the provisions of the said act will be enforced more effectively in the state. The said officers of the Mining Department shall also have the powers to challan the overloaded goods vehicles carrying mining material only.
