AAP questions Delhi govt over ₹650 crore health scam, raises concerns on Rajeev Rangila’s arrest delay and alleges major tender irregularities.
The Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj has launched sharp criticism against the Delhi government and the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) over an alleged ₹650 crore health scam in the capital.
During a press briefing at the party headquarters, Bharadwaj questioned why the alleged main accused, Rajeev Rangila, has not yet been arrested despite being prominently named in the ACB FIR dated June 2, 2026. He alleged that while minor employees are being targeted, the key accused continues to remain free.
He claimed that the FIR contains repeated references to Rajeev Rangila, describing him as central to the alleged irregularities. According to him, the investigation suggests a broader network of individuals and officials, but Rangila remains the focal point of the case.
Bharadwaj further alleged large-scale manipulation in the tendering process. He claimed that multiple companies were created under different names to control procurement in the health department. These firms, he said, manipulated technical and financial eligibility criteria in a way that prevented fair competition and ensured contracts were awarded within a closed group.
Where is Rajiv Rangeela ?
The ACB FIR in “650 Cr Health & Medicine Scam” clearly names one person Rajiv Rangila as accused.
His name appears 5-7 times on each page of this FIR. He is described as the real owner of all the private companies who got tenders at inflated rates.… pic.twitter.com/aECkg3i4oh

Citing an example, he alleged that X-ray machines worth around ₹10 lakh in the market were purchased by the government for nearly ₹33 lakh each. He also claimed that an initial tender for a small number of machines was later expanded to hundreds, causing massive financial loss to the public exchequer.
He accused the system of operating through a “modus operandi” that enabled inflated procurement prices and eliminated competitive bidding.
Bharadwaj also questioned the government’s enforcement priorities, stating that action was being highlighted against contractual workers while the primary accused in the case remained untouched. He demanded clarity on the whereabouts of Rajeev Rangila and urged immediate arrest.
Responding to political claims, he dismissed the government’s assertion that the case originated from a Chief Minister’s complaint, stating that the FIR clearly mentions action based on “source-based information.”
The AAP leader also raised concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging a lack of transparency in the deletion of voter names. Additionally, he criticized the Delhi government’s new electric vehicle (EV) policy, claiming it may unfairly benefit certain segments of manufacturers while ignoring practical challenges in servicing and maintenance of electric two-wheelers.
Authorities have not yet issued an official response to the allegations.
