Khambhalia Farmers Protest: The Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Dushkal Ghoshna Satyagraha’ in Khambhalia continued for the third consecutive day, with a large number of farmers joining the protest led by Gujarat AAP president and farmer leader Isudan Gadhvi.
The indefinite protest has been organised around demands related to drought-hit areas, water supply and financial assistance for farmers. AAP leaders and supporters said the participation of farmers has increased with each passing day.

‘No politics, farmers’ issues are the priority’
Gadhvi said the protest was not being organised merely for political purposes and stressed that the focus was on farmers’ problems.

Sorathia alleged that farmers and villages have continued to face difficulties despite a large section of the population depending on agriculture. He also criticised the state government over issues concerning rural infrastructure, education and employment.
