Residents Urged to Join Mission Clean Punjab
During the programme, Harjot Singh Bains appealed to residents to actively participate in the special cleanliness campaign. He stressed that keeping neighbourhoods clean is not only the responsibility of government departments but also requires cooperation from citizens.
Public participation is an important part of Mission Clean Punjab, as the campaign seeks to create greater awareness about cleanliness and encourage people to take responsibility for their surroundings.
Second Phase of Campaign Gains Pace
The cleanliness drive was organised as part of the second phase of Mission Clean Punjab. The campaign has been conducting cleanliness-related activities across Punjab, with local participation playing a key role in its implementation.
Harjot Singh Bains said the campaign should become a collective movement in which residents, local representatives and government agencies work together to improve cleanliness in their areas.
Focus on Public Participation
Apart from the cleanliness activity, the minister’s interaction with residents also brought local issues into focus. Listening to people at the ward level allows concerns related to civic amenities and neighbourhood conditions to be highlighted alongside the cleanliness campaign.
The participation of Harjot Singh Bains in the Nangal drive underlines the government’s emphasis on taking cleanliness initiatives directly to local communities.
The sixth day of the campaign in Nangal therefore combined on-ground cleanliness efforts with direct interaction with residents. The government is encouraging citizens to become active partners in Mission Clean Punjab and help maintain cleaner and healthier surroundings.
