Sooraj Pancholi breaks his silence after being named in the Disha Salian death case FIR, denying any connection and backing a fair CBI investigation.
Actor Sooraj Pancholi has responded to his name being mentioned in the FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian. In a detailed statement shared on social media, the actor said he has been “wrongly dragged” into the controversy and maintained that he had no connection with Salian.
Sooraj Pancholi also claimed that he had never met Disha Salian during her lifetime. He further stated that he had never met Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray either. According to the actor, he has already provided his statement to the investigating authorities and remains willing to cooperate with the probe if required.
Sooraj Pancholi Says His Name Was Wrongly Linked to the Case
The development comes after the CBI registered an FIR following directions from the Bombay High Court in relation to the Disha Salian death case. The FIR reportedly names several individuals, including Sooraj Pancholi, Aditya Thackeray, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Dino Morea, Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty.
On Monday, September 14, Pancholi posted a lengthy statement on Instagram addressing the allegations surrounding his name. Alongside the statement, he wrote, “Please read because I’m sure the media won’t cover this!”
The actor said he had remained silent for several years despite repeated reports and claims linking him to the matter. He explained that he felt compelled to speak publicly because the allegations continued to resurface.
Pancholi categorically denied having any association with Disha Salian, saying he had never met her either directly or indirectly. He also denied ever meeting Aditya Thackeray.

‘I Have Nothing to Hide,’ Says the Actor
Sooraj Pancholi said it was deeply upsetting for him to repeatedly see his name associated with the circumstances surrounding Salian’s death. He questioned the basis for continuing to connect him to the case and maintained that there was no evidence establishing a link between him and the matter.
The actor further claimed that he had already been questioned by the CBI and that his statement was recorded around four to five years ago. He said he has nothing to conceal and is ready to appear before investigators again should they require additional information.
“I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE!” Pancholi wrote in his statement.
He also appealed to people and media organisations to verify information before associating his name with the case. According to him, allegations should not be treated as established facts without supporting evidence.
Sooraj Pancholi Urges People to Check Facts
Addressing discussions surrounding the case on social media and television, Pancholi urged people to distinguish between allegations, opinions and verified facts.
He argued that a headline or television discussion should not automatically be treated as proof. The actor said people should form their opinions only after examining credible and verified information.
Pancholi added that he would not allow his name to be repeatedly associated with a matter that he claims to have no connection with. At the same time, he expressed support for a fair and detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding Disha Salian’s death.
‘I Have Faith in the Law’
Sooraj Pancholi concluded his statement by saying that he has faith in the legal system and the investigating agencies. He expressed confidence that the facts surrounding the case would ultimately come to light through the investigation.
The actor maintained that he is prepared to cooperate with authorities whenever required and reiterated that the truth should be determined through evidence and the investigative process.
As the CBI probe continues, the allegations and claims surrounding the case remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings. Pancholi has made it clear that he wants the matter to be assessed on verified facts rather than speculation or social media discussions.
