Prabhas’ film ‘Fauzi’ has been postponed from December 3, 2026. The makers have promised a grand, next-level cinematic experience.
Prabhas fans will have to wait longer for one of the actor’s most-awaited projects. Fauzi has been officially postponed, with the makers confirming that the period drama will not arrive on its previously announced release date of December 3, 2026. A new release date has not been revealed yet.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film has been attracting attention because of its period setting, ambitious scale and Prabhas’ distinctive look. Reports had earlier indicated that unfinished post-production work could lead to a delay, and the makers have now confirmed that the release has indeed been pushed back.
Producer Confirms Fauzi Delay
Mythri Movie Makers producer Y Ravi Shankar addressed the release delay at the pre-release event of Nani’s upcoming film ‘The Paradise’ on September 21. He confirmed that the team has decided to take additional time before bringing the movie to theatres.
According to the producer, the extra time will be used to enhance the overall quality and scale of the project. He described the film as a “next-level” production and compared the grandeur of Prabhas’ appearance with the scale associated with ‘Baahubali’.
The producer also expressed regret over moving the release date but assured audiences that the wait would be worthwhile.

Why Was the Release Postponed?
The exact reason for the delay has not been officially detailed beyond the need for additional time. However, reports have linked the postponement to pending post-production work.
Given the reported scale of the project, the makers appear to be allowing more time for finishing the technical and visual aspects rather than releasing the film according to its earlier schedule.
Prabhas’ Film Was Set for December Release
Fauzi was originally scheduled to hit theatres on December 3, 2026. The film was expected to arrive around the same period as Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Vrushakarma’ and Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Sri Sri’, both of which were scheduled for December 4.
With the Prabhas-starrer now postponed, the potential December box-office clash has changed. The makers are yet to announce when the film will finally reach cinemas.
Hanu Raghavapudi Directs the Period Drama
The movie is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who is known for films including the romantic drama ‘Sita Ramam’. His collaboration with Prabhas has generated considerable interest among moviegoers.
The project is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, while T-Series Films is presenting the film.
The cast includes Imanvi Esmail, Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher in important roles alongside Prabhas.
What’s Next for Prabhas?
The postponement of Fauzi means Prabhas’ upcoming slate is now being closely watched by fans. The actor is also set to appear in ‘Spirit’, which is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Triptii Dimri is also part of the project, which is currently scheduled for release in March 2027.
Prabhas has recently appeared in films such as ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and ‘The Raja Saab’. With Fauzi now awaiting a new release date, the film remains one of the major projects lined up in the actor’s upcoming schedule.
