Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak visited grain markets in Tarn Taran and Kapurthala to review arrangements for the ongoing crop procurement season. During the visit, he inspected the facilities at the markets, assessed the procurement process and interacted with people involved in the seasonal operations.
According to the update shared by the minister, Lal Chand Kataruchak also appreciated the quality of the crop arriving at the mandis. He initiated the procurement process at the markets and reviewed the arrangements put in place for farmers and other stakeholders.
Procurement Arrangements Reviewed at Mandis
During his visit, Lal Chand Kataruchak assessed the arrangements related to crop procurement and took stock of the situation at the grain markets. The inspection focused on the ongoing arrival of produce and the arrangements supporting the procurement process.
Punjab has been conducting procurement operations across its grain markets, with officials monitoring arrivals, procurement and related arrangements during the season. Recent reporting has also highlighted the state government’s stated commitment to procuring paddy brought by farmers to the mandis.
Minister Praises Quality of Arriving Crop

Season’s Greetings to Farmers and Other Communities
