Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are reportedly continuing their coaching staff overhaul ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027 season. In another major development, long-time batting coach Michael Hussey has reportedly parted ways with the franchise, bringing an end to an association that lasted more than 15 years across his playing and coaching stints.
The reported Michael Hussey CSK exit comes amid significant changes in the team’s support staff. The franchise has already made changes to its coaching setup, with former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan appointed as head coach and former CSK pacer Mohit Sharma taking over as bowling coach. MS Dhoni, one of CSK’s most influential figures, is reportedly playing an important role in the coaching changes. The former captain has been closely associated with the franchise’s leadership and cricketing decisions for years.
His reported involvement adds further interest to the team’s ongoing restructuring. However, the exact extent of Dhoni’s role in individual coaching appointments and departures has not been officially detailed.
