The upcoming epic film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, has started attracting audiences ahead of its theatrical release. According to the figures provided by Sacnilk, Ramayana advance booking has generated ₹1.53 crore in opening-day ticket sales for November 5, 2026. Mumbai is leading the city-wise advance booking figures, while Maharashtra tops the state-wise collections.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 5, 2026. With bookings spread across multiple languages and premium screening formats, the film is drawing attention ahead of its arrival in cinemas.
Ramayana Advance Booking: Maharashtra Leads State-Wise Figures
According to the reported advance booking data, Maharashtra has recorded the highest state-wise gross, with ₹57.09 lakh in ticket sales. Gujarat follows with ₹17.87 lakh, while Delhi has registered ₹15.10 lakh.
The top 10 states collectively account for approximately 95% of the film’s total advance booking gross. These figures indicate that ticket sales are concentrated in a relatively small number of major markets ahead of the opening day.
The reported figures also include ₹63.32 lakh in collections without block bookings, according to Sacnilk. This provides a separate measure of advance sales excluding block bookings.
Mumbai Tops City-Wise Advance Ticket Sales
Mumbai is leading the city-wise chart with reported advance bookings worth ₹39.46 lakh. The National Capital Region (NCR) follows with ₹15.10 lakh, while Ahmedabad has recorded ₹12.25 lakh.
The top 10 cities together contribute around 74% of the total advance booking gross. Mumbai’s position at the top highlights the importance of major metropolitan markets in the film’s pre-release ticket sales.
As the release date approaches, these city-wise figures will offer an indication of how audience interest is distributed across different regions.
Hindi and Kannada Screenings Contribute to Bookings
Hindi-language screenings account for the largest share of reported ticket sales. The film has generated ₹1.39 crore through 1,351 Hindi shows, according to the figures provided.
Kannada screenings have recorded ₹12.90 lakh across 61 shows. Bengaluru leads the Kannada city-wise figures with ₹9.58 lakh, followed by Mysuru at ₹1.44 lakh and Shivamogga at ₹1 lakh.
The language-wise distribution shows that Hindi screenings account for the bulk of the reported advance booking revenue, while Kannada shows are also contributing to the film’s opening-day sales.
Ramayana 3D and Premium Formats Attract Attention
The 3D version is another important part of the film’s advance booking performance. Hindi 3D screenings have reportedly generated ₹1.16 crore, representing approximately 76% of the total advance booking gross.

Premium cinema formats, including IMAX, 4DX, Dolby, ICE and EPIQ, collectively account for 17% of the gross despite representing only 6% of the shows.
These figures point to a substantial contribution from 3D screenings and premium viewing options. Their performance will be worth watching as more advance booking data becomes available closer to the release.
Ranbir Kapoor Leads a Star-Studded Cast
Ramayana is being developed as a two-part cinematic project. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Yash appears as Ravana, and Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman.
The supporting cast includes Ravie Dubey, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta.
The film’s scale, ensemble cast and presentation across multiple formats have made it one of the major upcoming Hindi film releases to watch.
When Will Ramayana Part 2 Release?
The first instalment of Ramayana is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026. The second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
The opening-day advance booking figures will continue to provide an early indication of audience interest before the first film reaches theatres. The final box office performance, however, will depend on actual ticket sales, audience response and occupancy during the theatrical run.
For now, Ramayana advance booking stands at a reported ₹1.53 crore in opening-day ticket sales, with Mumbai leading the city-wise figures and Hindi 3D screenings accounting for a major share of the reported gross.
