AAP attacks BJP in Punjab over the induction of leaders facing serious allegations. Aman Arora and Baltej Pannu question the BJP’s political strategy.
The political atmosphere in Punjab has heated up after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the induction of leaders who have faced serious allegations and disciplinary action in other political parties.
AAP alleged that the BJP is welcoming leaders facing allegations related to rape, corruption and firing at Punjab Police personnel. The party claimed that instead of building its own leadership and organisational network in the state, the BJP is relying on politicians who have previously been suspended, removed or sidelined by other parties.
According to AAP, the BJP’s strategy of bringing such leaders into its fold will not help it win public support in Punjab. The party described the BJP’s expectations of forming a government in the state with their help as nothing more than a distant dream.
BJP Has No Leadership or Political Agenda in Punjab: Aman Arora
AAP Punjab president Aman Arora criticised the BJP, claiming that the party lacks strong leadership, a clear political agenda and an organisational base in Punjab.
Arora alleged that the BJP had recently welcomed leaders from other political parties who were facing serious allegations, including corruption, rape and cases related to firing at police personnel.
He said the people of Punjab understand the political situation and are aware of the BJP’s activities. According to Arora, if the BJP believes it can form a government in Punjab by relying on such leaders, it is living in a world of unrealistic expectations.
The AAP leader further claimed that the BJP’s approach has exposed its political intentions in the state.
AAP Raises Questions Over Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra
The AAP-BJP political controversy in Punjab has also brought the cases of Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh and Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra into focus.
AAP stated that Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh was suspended from the party for five years over alleged anti-party activities. The party also questioned how he would now share a political platform with Bikram Singh Majithia, considering the questions he had previously raised against him.
AAP also referred to Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, stating that a rape case had been registered against him and that he was also linked to a case involving firing at Punjab Police personnel and fleeing.
The party said these were among the reasons behind its decision to suspend him. It argued that the BJP is now giving political space to individuals from whom other parties had already distanced themselves.

BJP Celebrating the Induction of Rejected Leaders: Baltej Pannu
AAP Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu also targeted the BJP over the recent political developments. He alleged that the BJP was celebrating the induction of leaders whom the Aam Aadmi Party had already separated from its organisation because of concerns about their conduct.
Pannu said the BJP was particularly enthusiastic about welcoming three MLAs who had previously been removed or distanced from AAP. He claimed that one of them was facing a rape case, while another had allegedly shown a lack of sensitivity following the deaths of innocent children.
According to Pannu, these were among the reasons why AAP had taken action against the concerned individuals.
He added that the departure of two or three leaders would not weaken the Aam Aadmi Party. Pannu maintained that the organisation stands firmly by its principles and commitment to Punjab, adding that no individual is bigger than the party.
AAP Says Punjab’s Interests Come Before Individual Leaders
The party further stated that the Aam Aadmi Party was formed with the aim of changing the country’s political system and moving away from corruption, opportunism and power-driven politics.
AAP maintained that the interests of Punjab have always been more important than individual politicians or political positions. It claimed that whenever anyone within the organisation acted against the state’s interests or violated the party’s principles, action was taken without hesitation.
Taking another dig at the BJP, AAP alleged that the party was more interested in collecting leaders rejected or suspended by other political organisations than earning people’s trust through public service.
The party also used a sharp metaphor to describe the BJP’s approach, accusing it of turning itself into a place where politically rejected leaders are welcomed without properly considering their past conduct.
Punjab Political Row Intensifies Ahead of Future Electoral Battles
The Punjab political controversy involving AAP and BJP has intensified following the allegations made by Aman Arora and Baltej Pannu. While AAP has questioned the BJP’s decision to induct leaders facing serious allegations, it has also defended its own disciplinary actions against former party members.
The party has asserted that its political strength comes from its principles and commitment to Punjab rather than individual leaders.
The BJP’s recent political moves and AAP’s criticism have added another chapter to the state’s ongoing political confrontation. However, the allegations made by AAP against the concerned leaders remain claims that should not be treated as proven facts unless established through the relevant legal process.
