Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini takes strict action against negligent Gurugram officials, ordering salary cuts, chargesheets and a Patwari’s suspension.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has taken a tough stand against administrative negligence and complaints of misconduct in Gurugram. During a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee on Wednesday, November 4, the Chief Minister ordered strict disciplinary action against several officials for failing to perform their duties properly.
The action includes a 50% salary deduction for three months, chargesheets and transfers outside Haryana’s NCR districts for two officials involved in the wrongful creation of property IDs. He also directed the immediate suspension of a Municipal Corporation Patwari for allegedly misbehaving with a citizen. Additionally, a Public Works Department (PWD) Executive Engineer will face a one-month salary deduction over negligence in road restoration work.
The Nayab Singh Saini Gurugram Action reflects the state government’s emphasis on administrative accountability and timely resolution of public grievances.
11 Out of 15 Public Complaints Resolved on the Spot
During the Gurugram grievance redressal meeting, a total of 15 complaints were presented before the Chief Minister. Out of these, 11 cases were resolved immediately, while the remaining four were kept pending until the next meeting.
CM Nayab Singh Saini directed the concerned departments to submit detailed status reports on the pending complaints during the next meeting. He emphasised that public grievances must be addressed promptly and that citizens should not face unnecessary difficulties while accessing government services.
The Chief Minister said providing accessible, efficient and quality public services within the stipulated time is a shared responsibility of every government officer and employee.
Two Officials Face Salary Cuts Over Wrongful Property ID Creation
One of the major complaints discussed during the meeting concerned the alleged irregular creation of property IDs in the Municipal Council Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi area.
An investigation found that the then Building Inspector and Municipal Engineer had created property IDs without obtaining prior approval from the competent authority and without following the prescribed procedures.
Taking serious note of the violations, Nayab Singh Saini ordered a 50% deduction in the salaries of both officials for three months. He also directed the authorities to issue chargesheets against them and transfer them outside Haryana’s NCR districts.
The Chief Minister made it clear that negligence, procedural violations and misuse of official responsibilities would not be tolerated. He stressed that government employees must remain accountable, particularly in matters directly affecting citizens.
Public Toilets in Gurugram and Manesar to Undergo Inspection
The condition and maintenance of public toilets in Gurugram and Manesar also came under scrutiny during the meeting.
Following complaints about poor cleanliness and maintenance, the Chief Minister ordered the formation of three-member inspection committees in every zone. Each committee will include at least one government official.
The committees will inspect public toilets across all six zones of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram and two zones of the Municipal Corporation Manesar.
They have been directed to submit their findings within one month. Based on the reports, the authorities will take appropriate steps to improve sanitation facilities and ensure regular cleaning and proper maintenance.
Gurugram Municipal Corporation Patwari to Be Suspended
The Chief Minister also took action following a citizen’s complaint against a Patwari working with the Municipal Corporation Gurugram.
The complaint involved alleged inappropriate behaviour towards a citizen who had approached the municipal authorities for assistance.
Taking a strict view of the incident, CM Nayab Singh Saini ordered the immediate suspension of the concerned Patwari.
He emphasised that government employees must treat every citizen with dignity and respect. Any form of misconduct or negligence towards people visiting government offices will invite strict action.
PWD Executive Engineer to Face One-Month Salary Deduction
Another important decision concerned complaints of poor execution and negligence in road restoration work.
After reviewing the matter, the Chief Minister directed a one-month salary deduction for the concerned Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department.
He stressed that road construction and restoration projects must meet prescribed quality standards and be completed within the निर्धारित timelines. Officials have also been instructed to regularly monitor development projects to prevent delays and substandard work.
The Nayab Singh Saini Gurugram Action sends a clear message that negligence in public infrastructure projects will also attract disciplinary consequences.
