South Korean actress Park Gyu Young has finally spoken out regarding the Squid Game 3 spoiler controversy that stirred fan outrage and online speculation earlier this year. In a recent interview with Sports Chosun on July 2, Park addressed the now-deleted Instagram post that unintentionally revealed a major plot point — the return of Lee Jin Wook’s character — and apologized for her actions.

The Instagram Post That Sparked the Storm
The controversy began when Park, who plays the pink guard No-Eul in Squid Game Season 3, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of herself in costume. However, fans were quick to notice a blurred figure in the background, who many believed was actor Lee Jin Wook, whose character’s fate was left uncertain at the end of Season 2.
Though the post was deleted shortly after, the image had already gone viral, fueling massive online speculation and spoiler debates.
Park Gyu Young’s Public Apology
In her heartfelt statement, Park expressed remorse for the unintended leak, saying:
“Over the past few months, I think I showed a disappointing side of myself. Many of you may have been let down… I want to address the questions I previously avoided out of concern they might harm the project.”
She added that while she had been asked about the incident during a press conference, she hadn’t responded in depth at the time.
“I believe I caused a lot of disappointment by unintentionally spoiling something on social media… I felt a deep sense of guilt toward the director and the entire production team.”’
