The Gujarat BJP government has long been accused of neglecting and causing injustice to the state’s farmers, according to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In response to this, AAP has been actively advocating on behalf of Gujarat’s farming community, calling attention to the ongoing struggles they face.
The Aam Aadmi Party’s efforts to address farmer issues gained significant momentum with their campaign to abolish the Karada practice in Bhavnagar, which had been adversely impacting local farmers. In light of this, AAP has presented a series of crucial demands aimed at improving the lives and livelihoods of farmers across Gujarat.

To further their cause, AAP organized a series of initiatives, including 9 Kisan Mahapanchayats and over 8,000 Kisan Nyay Panchayats. In addition, more than 80,000 farmers have signed petitions in support of the cause. These efforts culminated in the preparation of a detailed memorandum of demands, which addresses the key issues affecting farmers in the state.
Today, a delegation from the Aam Aadmi Party will meet Gujarat’s Chief Minister to formally present this memorandum on behalf of the state’s farmers, urging the government to take immediate action for their welfare.
