Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which declared its unwavering support for the INDIA bloc candidates in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday, claimed that the purpose of these elections is to prevent “autocracy” and preserve democracy.
“The INDIA bloc candidates in Uttar Pradesh have the complete support of the AAP. After consulting with the Congress leadership involved in the campaign, we will determine our involvement in the campaign and what role we will play. Leading AAP member and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh remarked, “We will provide the Samajwadi Party candidates our complete support.”
The AAP leader stated that there is “no condition or demand” during a joint press conference with Sawajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav at the SP headquarters here.
“These are not your typical elections; they are a fight to preserve democracy, put an end to dictatorship, and preserve the Baba Saheb Constitution. People are being mobilized against the tyrannical rule through this election, according to Singh.
“We are together in UP, wherever the Samajwadi Party candidate is in the fray, INDIA bloc candidate is in fray we will work for them,” he stated.
With an air of assurance that the INDIA bloc would prevail in the elections, Singh declared that all of his party’s employees and elected officials will support the Samajwadi Party (SP) candidates.
Singh made a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the arrest of elected chief ministers, saying, “I have repeatedly said that if any politician is winning, he would not indulge in such tactics and tricks as being done by the PM of putting opponents in jail by framing fake cases, it means lack of confidence at election time.” Singh was visiting the state; he is from Sultanpur.
In addition, he thanked Akhilesh Yadav for showing up to the Delhi demonstration against the detention of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.
The head of Samajwadi Party thanked the AAP for its support, stating that the election is being contested to “safeguard the Constitution” rather than under normal conditions.
He continued, “This election is being watched by everyone in the nation and around the world.”
Yadav expressed his disapproval of Kejriwal’s detention by saying, “I had gone to Delhi. Additionally, I had stated that India has been maligned worldwide during the large demonstration in support of Arvind Kejriwal ji.” “The country is being defamed in the world that elected people and heads of state are being treated like this,” he stated.
The leader of the Samajwadi Party blasted the BJP, which is in power.
“This was something we used to witness occurring at the pradhan election level, during the pradhan elections. However, the imprisonment of a state’s elected chief minister due to the filing of bogus charges…In a same vein, Jharkhand’s chief minister was also imprisoned,” he remarked.
The ruling “BJP is also interfering in the institutions from where justice should be provided,” according to Yadav’s accusations.
“Who does not know that money was extorted by showing the fear of the same institutions, their own government was formed in Maharashtra and now they are making people join the BJP by putting police in the forefront,” he stated.
“Many associates who joined the BJP are saying that we are going there physically but are with you from our souls,” Yadav said.
