CM Yadav stated that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Vikramotsav is being organized in Delhi to celebrate India’s rich heritage. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is progressing towards development while staying committed to preserving and promoting its cultural roots.
During the grand theatrical performance on Samrat Vikramaditya,CM Yadav welcomed Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri J.P. Nadda, as the chief guest. He acknowledged the Minister’s close connection with the state, referring to him as “Madhya Pradesh’s son-in-law” and praised Shri Nadda for his consistent support and presence at Vikramotsav events.
After visiting the MP Tourism Pavilion and exhibition at the Red Fort,CM Yadav spoke to the media about Samrat Vikramaditya as a legendary figure who overcame invaders like the Shakas and Huns, establishing an era of good governance. He drew parallels between Vikramaditya and Bhagwan Shri Ram, highlighting their leadership qualities and the humility they embodied. “Great heroes like them don’t become history—they create it,” Dr. Yadav remarked.
CM Yadav further noted that Vikramotsav features an impressive theatrical performance on Samrat Vikramaditya’s life and showcases the government’s welfare-driven policies, as well as Madhya Pradesh’s cultural richness, tourism potential, and investment opportunities.
CM Yadav was accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Jagdish Devda and Shri Rajendra Shukla, Minister of Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, along with other dignitaries and social workers.
At the exhibition, the Chief Minister explored archaeological coins from Vikramaditya’s era, the cultural diversity of Greater Bharat, tourism prospects, and employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. He interacted with local artisans, admiring crafts like Gond painting from Dindori, Bag print sarees, lacquer toys, zari zardozi, and terracotta works, offering them encouragement.
During his visit, CM Yadav purchased a handcrafted flower made from date palm leaves by Mandla-based artist Shri Santosh Khadse and offered Rs. 1000 as a token of appreciation. He praised Shri Santosh for his dedication and recognized the platform the artist had gained in Delhi, thanks to government support.
CM Yadav also expressed gratitude to the Union Cabinet, Delhi government ministers, the Vishala Sanskritik Evam Lokhit Samiti, and all artists involved for their efforts in magnificently showcasing the legacy of Samrat Vikramaditya.
