Arvind Kejriwal: To make the most of their chances in the Lok Sabha election, the AAP’s top brass in Delhi and Punjab appears to be pulling together.

Up until recently, there were frequent rumors in the corridors of power about a widening divide between the leaders of the state and the party in Delhi. But now that party chief Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested, the leaders of the state and Delhi have come together and are planning together for the elections, which are seen as vital for the party.

The gathering of the party’s nine Lok Sabha candidates, ministers, MLAs, and state unit working president Budh Ram was co-chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, party Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Sandeep Pathak, and state unit working president Bhagwant Mann.

BHAGWANT MANN MEETS SANJAY SINGH AT THE CHANDIGARH HOUSE OF THE PUNJAB CM

Arvind Kejriwal: According to party insiders, the strategists of the party aimed to set the proper tone for the meeting. As soon as Sanjay was recently released on bail, a video of the CM and his wife Gurpreet Kaur welcoming him was uploaded, demonstrating the positive relationship between the two parties. It was also made possible a few months ago that Pathak, the national general secretary of the AAP, presided the first hour of the two-hour meeting attended by MLAs, ministers, and LS candidates at the CM house.

According to sources, the party’s campaign strategy was communicated to both the MLAs and the LS candidates. It has been requested of the MLAs that they host “jan sabhas” in their districts. To reach as many voters as possible, the party’s various cells—such as the traders’ cell, women’s wing, youth wing, etc.—will host separate gatherings. It has been reported that Pathak requested the party leaders to prioritize employment and free power to domestic consumers in addition to bolstering public education and healthcare.

Mann and Sanjay first met behind closed doors before attending the gathering with other party leaders. They reportedly talked on the nation’s present political climate, with a focus on Punjab. They cautioned against BJP attempts at poaching and reminded MLAs that it was their joint duty to see to it that the party won all 13 seats in the state while presiding over the meeting.

In addition, the party’s focus will be on promoting its “pro-farmer stance” and criticizing the BJP and SAD for what it perceives to be their anti-farmer stance. Speaking to reporters afterwards, Sanjay claimed that the BJP had planned a political plot to detain Arvind Kejriwal. He remarked, “I have asked party leaders to defeat the BJP in the elections in order to give them a fitting reply.”
