Alan Walker Returns to India, Says Evolving Music Scene Makes It Easier for Global Artists to Come Back
New Delhi | 18 April 2025 — Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker is back in India just six months after his last tour, crediting the country’s “changed music scene” for drawing him in.

Alan Walker, who is renowned for his EDM hits like Faded and Alone, kicked off his latest multi-city tour in Guwahati on April 17. He will perform in Hyderabad tonight, followed by Bhubaneswar and Jaipur on April 19 and 20.
India’s Music Scene Is Bringing Global Acts Back Sooner
Speaking about his whirlwind return, Alan Walker shared his excitement about performing in cities he hadn’t previously explored. “It was my first time in Guwahati, and I’m so excited about tonight’s gig. Also, I can’t wait to check out the vibe of Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. Every place in India is so unique,” he said.
While international artists often space out their India tours by a year or more, Alan Walker’s quick return signals a growing trend. He credits his decision to the country’s thriving music scene and the unmatched energy of its fans.
Alan Walker considered the connection with Indian audiences as unmatched, calling the energy and enthusiasm “magical.” He credited the country’s rich culture, vibrant music, and warm hospitality as key reasons international artists are increasingly drawn to India.
He also acknowledged how India’s music scene has evolved significantly in the past decade, noting that the growing global recognition and increased openness to international acts have made it easier for artists like him to return and perform for massive crowds. With a strong and loyal fan base across the country, Alan Walker said that he expects the momentum to keep building.
Alan Walker Eyes Bollywood Collaborations
During his October 2024 tour, Alan Walker surprised fans by sharing the stage with Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Kartik Aaryan—an appearance that fueled speculation about deeper collaborations with the Indian film industry.
He now confirms that such partnerships may be on the horizon. “There are some exciting collabs coming up,” he said, hinting at potential projects in the pipeline. As for stepping into Bollywood more formally, Alan Walker is open to the idea: “I’m fascinated by Bollywood, so if acting isn’t on the cards, I’d be thrilled to produce a suitable film’s score.”
Tickets for the remaining shows are available on BookMyShow, starting at ₹999.
