Bollywood actress and producer Alia Bhatt is all set to return as a producer with her upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Don’t Be Shy’, which she is co-producing alongside her sister Shaheen Bhatt. The announcement was made via Prime Video’s official Instagram handle, highlighting the duo’s excitement about bringing a fresh, heartfelt story to audiences.
This marks another milestone in Alia Bhatt’s journey as a producer. She first ventured into production with ‘Darlings’ in 2022 and later co-produced ‘Jigra’ with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. With ‘Don’t Be Shy’, Alia and Shaheen continue their collaboration under their banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, with co-producers Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani joining the project.

In the Instagram announcement, Alia explained how she and Shaheen selected the script after reviewing multiple action film scripts. They were drawn to ‘Don’t Be Shy’ because it “has everything — romance, heartbreak, songs, girls, boys, and even a turtle.” She described it as “a story you grow up with,” capturing the universal emotions of youth and self-discovery.

About the Film
Directed and written by Sreeti Mukerji, ‘Don’t Be Shy’ follows the life of Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old girl who believes she has everything under control. However, her perfectly planned life takes unexpected turns, leading to a journey of self-discovery and growth. The cast of the film has not yet been revealed.
