In a major push for citizen-friendly governance, the Punjab Government has made 30 Transport Department services — including Registration Certificate (RC) and Driving Licence (DL) — accessible through Sewa Kendras and doorstep delivery. This move aims to eliminate the need for people to visit RTO offices or depend on middlemen, stated Aman Arora, Minister for Good Governance and Information Technology.

Chairing a high-level meeting at MGSIPA with senior officials and all Deputy Commissioners, Mr. Arora reviewed the rollout of new services under the Revenue and Transport Departments at Sewa Kendras and via home delivery.
As part of the “Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar” initiative, citizens can now avail six Revenue Department services — such as deed registration, inheritance-based mutation, mutation through registered deed, corrections in land records (Fardbadar), Rapat, and requests for digitally signed Fard — along with 30 Transport Department services including RC and DL, by simply calling helpline number 1076 from their homes.
Mr. Arora instructed Deputy Commissioners to ensure hassle-free implementation of the initiative and warned that strict action would be taken against officials who create unnecessary hurdles or force people into making repeated visits to government offices for these services.
