Originally airing on Cartoon Network, the show became a cult hit thanks to its absurd humor, boundary-breaking animation, and chaotic charm. Now, The Amazing World of Gumball Season 7 is set to pick up right where it left off — and with a new title: The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.

The teaser trailer gives fans a cheeky taste of what’s to come. Gumball is seen brushing cobwebs off his face as Darwin yells, “We’re late for school!” When Gumball asks how late, Darwin replies, “About seven years.” The gag is a meta wink to viewers, referencing the time gap since the show last aired in 2019. Gumball’s response? “Five more minutes then,” as he rolls back under the covers.

The revival’s new name, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, reflects the creative leaps the show intends to take — while still preserving the tone that made it iconic.
Same Creator, Same Chaos
Returning with the series is original creator Ben Bocquelet, joined by executive producers Matt Layzell and Erik Fountain. The team says they’re excited to dive back into the madness.
“What an amazing opportunity to play with these characters again!” they said. “Gumball and Darwin haven’t grown up much since we last saw them… and neither have we.”
Though Hulu hasn’t announced an official release date, The Amazing World of Gumball Season 7 is expected to premiere in late 2025 or early 2026.
