Ameesha Patel responds to non-bailable warrant issued by Moradabad court over 2017 event dispute; calls matter old and settled, vows legal action.
Ameesha Patel has reacted after reports surfaced that a Moradabad court issued a non-bailable warrant against her concerning a 2017 event dispute. Following recent media attention around actor Rajpal Yadav’s legal troubles, the spotlight has now shifted to Ameesha, creating waves across social media and news platforms.
Actress Calls the Matter “Old and Settled”
Taking to Instagram Stories, Ameesha Patel clarified that the case is old and had already been settled years ago. She emphasized that her legal team will take action against Pawan Verma, the complainant, for filing false allegations.
In her note, Ameesha wrote, “Media reports suggest certain proceedings at Moradabad by one Pawan Verma. I wish to inform everyone that this is an old matter where Pawan Verma had signed a settlement deed and received the entire agreed amount. Despite this, it seems he has lodged proceedings making false allegations. My lawyers are initiating appropriate criminal proceedings of cheating against him to expose his lies, while I prefer to focus on my work and ignore people who create public spectacles for attention on false pretexts.”

Details of the Case
The legal action stems from a complaint filed by event organiser Pawan Verma regarding a wedding performance on November 16, 2017. According to the complaint, an advance of ₹14.50 lakh was paid to Ameesha Patel, and hotel accommodation was arranged for her in Moradabad. However, the actor allegedly did not attend the event. Subsequent discussions reportedly led to a promise from Ameesha to return the money.
