Arvind Kejriwal questions IB over alleged verification calls to party workers, seeks legal clarification and raises concerns about legality.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has raised serious concerns over alleged phone calls made to his party workers by individuals claiming to be from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), questioning the legality and purpose of such verification activities.

Kejriwal stated that he personally called one such number and asked whether it belonged to the IB, to which the caller reportedly confirmed. When he questioned under which law such verification was being conducted, the call was abruptly disconnected and subsequent attempts to reach the number went unanswered.

Questions Raised on Legal Authority

The AAP leader alleged that similar calls are being made to several of his party workers. He questioned whether it is legally permissible to verify citizens who move from one state to another for work, and demanded clarification from the Intelligence Bureau regarding the legal basis of such actions.

Kejriwal further asked IB to clarify whether the number being used for these calls is officially linked to the agency.
