Arvind Kejriwal warns PM Modi that rising public anger cannot be suppressed by controlling social media. Read the CM’s take on unemployment and digital rights.
Launching a scathing attack on the Union Government, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated today that the Prime Minister’s popularity is plummeting rapidly as the country grapples with a mountain of unaddressed challenges. According to the Delhi CM, the central leadership has proven unable to confront the pressing issues of the masses, leading to a surge of frustration across every street and neighborhood in India.
Youth Discontent and Digital Crackdown
Arvind Kejriwal highlighted that the nation’s youth are increasingly using social media to express their anger over unemployment and economic distress. However, instead of addressing these grievances, the government has reportedly devised a plan to control social media platforms to silence dissent.
“The youth of this country are frustrated. When they ask questions on digital platforms, they are met with arrests rather than solutions,” Arvind Kejriwal remarked during a press briefing. He noted that the rising tide of anger brewing among the people is a direct result of the government’s failure to deliver on its promises.

The Failure of Governance
The AAP leader emphasized that a democracy thrives on criticism and questioning. He alleged that by targeting critics and preparing new rules to muzzle social media, the Prime Minister is attempting to hide a lack of performance. Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that the current administration seems more focused on perception management than on solving the heap of challenges facing the common man.
A Warning to the Center
Issuing a stern warning, Arvind Kejriwal said that “Modi ji must understand” that suppressive rules cannot put a lid on the genuine suffering of the citizens. He argued that the more the government tries to control the narrative, the more the public’s anger will intensify.
“You can arrest the questioners, but you cannot arrest the questions,” Arvind Kejriwal added, reiterating that the only way to restore public faith is through work, not through censorship. He concluded by stating that the AAP will continue to stand with the youth and the common people against any attempt to curb their fundamental right to expression.
