Pannu Targets Harbhajan Singh
During the press conference, Baltej Pannu also criticised Harbhajan Singh over a video related to Rajasthan that was shared on social media.
Pannu alleged that Harbhajan Singh posted the video without verifying its authenticity and subsequently raised questions about the Punjab government and Punjab Police.
Allegation of Political Motive
Baltej Pannu alleged that the video was being used to undermine the Punjab government’s claims and figures related to its anti-drug campaign. He described the move as part of a political strategy aimed at damaging the state government’s image.
Pannu said that instead of politicising the drug issue, political parties should focus on efforts to tackle drug abuse in Punjab.
Government’s Anti-Drug Campaign
Baltej Pannu reiterated that the Mann government remains focused on its state-level campaign against drugs. He said public participation is important for making the campaign effective and helping Punjab address the long-standing challenge of drug abuse.
The AAP leader also urged people to remain involved in the fight against drugs and support initiatives aimed at making Punjab free from addiction.
Political Debate Over Drugs Intensifies
The statements by Baltej Pannu come amid an ongoing political debate in Punjab over the government’s anti-drug campaign, its performance and the claims made by different political parties.
Pannu maintained that the government would continue its efforts against drugs and that the issue should be approached with responsibility and verified information
