On the sixth day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi set out from Jorhat, Assam, and crossed the Brahmaputra to arrive at Majuli, the world’s largest river island.

On Friday morning, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi began the sixth day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Jorhat in Assam. Rahul Gandhi chose to cross the Brahmaputra River by boat rather than take his customized Volvo bus to get to his next location in Majuli, Assam.

On Friday morning, the yatra was restarted from Nimati Ghat in Jorhat, Assam. While on the boat, Rahul was observed conversing with his followers, some of whom could also be seen waving the party’s flag in front of the vessel.

On Day 6, the yatra is scheduled to travel towards Kamalabari Chriali and then to Aphalamukh, where the Congress leader is scheduled to visit Sri Sri Auniati Satra located in Johrat, Assam.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: An FIR against the demonstration and its principal organizer, KB Byju, for allegedly straying from the designated path in Jorhat, put a stop to the Yatra on Thursday.

Gandhi entered Assam from the post office in Tuli, Nagaland, where the yatra started on the fifth day.

The goal of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is to cover more than 6700 km in 67 days, passing through 110 districts and 15 states along route, and finishing in Mumbai by March 20 or 21.
