BIHAR CM Nitish Kumar held a review meeting regarding the ongoing developmental schemes in East Champaran district

During the Pragati Yatra, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar held a review meeting in Dr. Radhakrishnan Sabha Bhawan located in the Collectorate premises regarding the ongoing development schemes in East Champaran district.In the review meeting, District Magistrate-in-charge Shri Shirsat Kapil Ashok through presentation presented Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister Nishchay Self Help Allowance Scheme, Skilled Youth Program, Tap Water in every house and its maintenance, Pucca Street Drain to every house, Chief Minister Rural Solar Street Light Scheme, Irrigation water to every farm, construction of agricultural feeder, Chief Minister Agricultural Electricity Connection Scheme,

Detailed information was given to the Chief Minister regarding Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme, encouragement to women for higher education, medical consultation through tele-medicine in the health sub-centre, doorstep delivery of veterinary services and the updated status of construction of Panchayat Government Building.Apart from this, 10+2 schools in every Panchayat, formation of sports club to promote sports in Gram Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, playground in every Panchayat,Chief Minister Gram Sampark Yojana (remaining), Chief Minister Gramin Setu Yojana, formation of self-help groups in urban and rural areas, transparency in revenue administration, mutation/revision/revision plus and public wells renovated under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali,The District Magistrate gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding the updated status of ponds and lakes. In the review meeting, public representatives also placed the problems of their respective areas before the Chief Minister.

Addressing the review meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to resolve the problems raised by the public representatives as soon as possible. The people of Bihar gave us an opportunity to work from 24 November 2005.Since that time we have been continuously working for the development of Bihar. Development work was taking place in every field. People were afraid to step out of their homes. The condition of education and health was very bad. Often there were reports of disputes between Hindus and Muslims. He said that since the people of Bihar gave us a chance to work, the condition of Bihar has changed. Development work is being done in every field. Something is being done. Before 2005, the condition of Bihar was very bad.There was no arrangement for treatment in hospitals, roads were dilapidated. There was no discrimination against people after evening. Together we are continuously taking Bihar forward. We went from here to there by mistake twice. Those people were deprived of the rights of backward people by Jananayak Late Karpuri Thakur ji. And they wanted to end the reservation given to the backward classes, so we separated from them, now this will not happen again.

We started fencing graveyards since 2006. So far, more than 8 thousand graveyards have been fenced. The work of fencing the remaining graveyards will also be completed soon. We saw that there were incidents of idol theft from temples. In view of this, it was decided to build boundary walls around temples so that the temples remain safe. Voting is the right of the public, the public can vote for whoever they want but we work for everyone.

The Chief Minister said that we are carrying out development work in the entire Bihar. No area of ​​Bihar is untouched by development. We have carried out work on a large scale in the field of education, health, construction of roads, bridges and culverts.Due to which earlier people from any corner of Bihar used to reach Patna in 6 hours, now it has been reduced to 5 hours. Every kind of work is being done for this. Earlier it used to take us at least 8 hours to reach Champaran. Now we can reach Champaran faster even by road.

The Chief Minister said that since 2006, a uniform scheme was started for children studying in government schools. Cycle scheme for girls since 2009, cycle scheme for boys since 2010, recruitment of employed teachers on a large scale,Efforts have been made to improve the education sector by constructing school buildings. A large number of government teachers are being reinstated. Government recognition is being given to employed teachers through examination. Earlier, very few girls used to go to study. Now the number of girls has become almost equal to that of boys.

The Chief Minister said that earlier only 39 patients used to go to the Primary Health Centre in a month for treatment. Now on an average more than 11 thousand patients are coming for treatment in a month.From the year 2006, we also started the work of free distribution of medicines in government hospitals. Earlier there were only 6 government medical colleges in Bihar. Now their number has increased to 11. We have established engineering colleges in every district, Medical colleges are also being opened in the districts. Basic facilities like tap water in every house, construction of paved lanes and drains in every house, toilet in every house, electricity connection to every house have been provided to the people.

The Chief Minister said that 50 percent reservation was given to women in Panchayati Raj institutions and municipal bodies, under which 4 elections have been held so far. A large number of women have been elected. We have worked in every way for the upliftment of women. In the year 2013, 35 percent reservation was given to women in police recruitment, as a result of which the participation of women in Bihar Police Force has increased significantly. Bihar has a large number of women police, not found in any other state of the country. Since 2016, we have given 35 percent reservation to women in all government jobs. Earlier, the number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less.In 2006, we took a loan from the World Bank and started increasing the number of self-help groups. Now the number of self-help groups in Bihar has increased to 10 lakh 61 thousand and 1 crore 31 lakh Jeevika didis are associated with them. We have given the name Jeevika Didi to the women associated with the self-help groups., Inspired by this, the then central government also adopted it and named it Ajeevika. Our work has an impact on the entire country. In Bihar, self-help groups have now been formed in urban areas as well, in which 26 thousand Jeevika didis have joined so far.

The Chief Minister said that we had set a target of giving government jobs to 10 lakh people, which has been increased to 12 lakh. So far, 9 lakh people have been given government jobs.Apart from this, a target of providing employment to 10 lakh people was set. Till now, employment has been provided to 24 lakh people. Before the Bihar assembly elections of the year 2025, 12 lakh people will be provided jobs and 34 lakh people will be provided employment. We have worked for the upliftment of all sectionsMadrasas have been given government recognition. We have conducted a caste-based census in Bihar in which 94 lakh poor families have been identified, who belong to every caste. Such poor families are being given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh per family so that they can earn their livelihood.

The Chief Minister said that we celebrated the year 2017 as the centenary year of Champaran Satyagraha. During this period, many programs were organized at the workplaces associated with the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Bapu had started the Champaran Satyagraha from this land of Champaran.The land of Champaran is very important. We keep coming here and meeting people, listening to their problems. Today we have again gone among the people and talked to them and become aware of their problemsThe people here have shared their needs with us. Important announcements of the Chief Minister in the review meeting Before coming here and even today, many sugarcane farmers have told that the price they get for sugarcane is low.Just yesterday, during my visit to West Champaran district, I have instructed the officials of the Sugarcane Industry Department to increase the price of sugarcane by at least Rs. 20 per quintal. An increase of Rs. 10 per quintal has already been made.Apart from this, an increase of Rs 10 per quintal will be made from this season, the expenditure of which will be borne by the state government. I am happy that now sugarcane farmers will get Rs 20 per quintal more price than last year.Today during the visit I got a chance to visit Majuraha. There people have talked about building a bridge over the Dhanauti river. I have clearly seen from the site visit that if a bridge is built there then it will be convenient for people to go to Kotwa. I have instructed the officials of the road construction department That a bridge should be constructed on the Dhanauti river to connect Motihari city directly to Kotwa. Here in Areraj, Shri Someshwarnath temple is situated which is of mythological importance. I have also got the opportunity to visit the templeA large number of devotees come here for whom more facilities are needed in the temple premises and the access road is also narrow.I have instructed the officials of the Tourism Department and the Road Construction Department to develop the temple complex and construct a smooth connecting road to reach the temple soon.

An embankment will be constructed on the Bangri river in Raxaul subdivision to prevent floods. The related villages of Raxaul block will be benefited by its construction. A paved road will be constructed on the right embankment of the Bagmati river in East Champaran district. This will make traffic between Dhaka-Patahi, Shivhar-Belsand-Runnisaidpur easy and smooth. Ghordaud Pokhar, Patahi will be renovated and developed as a tourist spot.This pond is about 750 years old. The premises and connecting path of Sitakund Dham will be developed. Its construction will provide great convenience to the devotees coming here.A bridge will be constructed on the Budhi Gandak river in Ibrahimpur village of Mehsi Ujhilpur Panchayat. This will facilitate the movement of people. A road will be constructed from Chiraiya Shanti Chowk to Bhelwa Bazaar Ghorasahan. This will provide convenience in transportation to the people of the area as well as the trainees of the Industrial Training Institute. Gandhi High School, Badharwa Lakhnasen will be developed. During Champaran Satyagraha, Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi stayed at this place for about 6 months and the first basic school was established by him.Its development will boost tourism. Currently, the central government is working on the development of Raxaul airport. It should be expanded further.The state government will provide whatever land is required for this. An RCC bridge will be constructed in front of Balua-Guabari on the Lal-Bakeya river.
