Borewell accident: The six-year-old kid was rescued from a borewell in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday after more than twenty hours of work, according to an official. A team from the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) and local administration worked through the night.
Mohan Yadav, the chief minister, stated he was keeping an eye on the situation and was in regular communication with the local authorities.
The tragedy happened on Friday at around 3 p.m. in Manika village, close to the Uttar Pradesh border, where the youngster was playing near the open borewell, according to officials.

Borewell accident: Yadav wrote on X that it was regrettable to hear of a helpless infant in the Manika village of Rewa district slipping into a borewell.

He further said that Rajendra Shukla, the deputy chief minister, has been told to go to the location.
Friday night, the rescue effort went on, according to an official.
The team is attempting to extract the boy through pits that are roughly 35 feet wide that have been dug on both sides of the borewell, he said.
The official stated that Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh and Rewa Collector Pratibha Pal kept an eye on the situation at night.
Pal had stated on Friday night that the youngster was stuck at a depth of about 40 feet, and the SDERF was called into action to save him.
The youngster was receiving oxygen through a pipe, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Sonkar, and a CCTV camera was lowered into the well to monitor his status, but it was obstructed and could not reach him.
To save the infant, a parallel trench is being dug down around 70 feet into the borewell.
He mentioned that unseasonal rains had also impacted the rescue effort and that a team from the National Disaster Response Force had been summoned from Varanasi.
