The announcement came just weeks after the first trailer premiered at CinemaCon, giving fans a powerful glimpse of White performing Springsteen’s classic anthem, “Born to Run.” White shared that working on the film was a “dream come true” and confirmed that Bruce Springsteen personally supports the project, adding authenticity and heart to the story. Jeremy Strong also stars, playing Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager and producer.
Deliver Me From Nowhere goes beyond the music to explore the creative process behind Nebraska, one of Springsteen’s most raw and personal albums. The cast includes talented actors like Stephen Graham, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, and Gaby Hoffmann, among others. Springsteen and Landau are involved as producers, alongside Cooper, Zanes, and others, ensuring the film stays true to the spirit of the artist.
On the music side, record producer Dave Cobb—known for his collaborations with Bruce Springsteen and other greats—is contributing to the soundtrack, promising an authentic sound that complements the storytelling.
Releasing in October puts the film right in the thick of awards season, alongside other exciting titles like Regretting You, Mortal Kombat 2, and Bugonia with Emma Stone. The biopic also joins a recent wave of music films, following the success of Bob Marley: One Love and the Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan movie starring Timothée Chalamet. Sony is even working on a massive Beatles film series set to start in 2028.
Bruce Springsteen’s legacy speaks for itself — with 20 Grammy Awards, a Special Tony, and an Oscar, he’s just one Emmy away from joining the exclusive EGOT club. And for fans wanting more, the upcoming documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will capture the magic of his live performances.
