Chhattisgarh Govt will soon receive an additional allocation of Rs. 1,874 crore under capital expenditure from the Central Government
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Govt has not only created a distinct identity through its public welfare policies and programs but has also earned praise and incentive funds from the Central Government by ensuring proper utilisation of the state budget and central funds for public welfare. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that providing better facilities to the state’s people and taking development to new heights is the government’s priority.
Chhattisgarh Govt has efficiently and effectively utilised the allocated funds under capital expenditure for infrastructure development, which has been praised by the Central Government. As a result of the proper utilisation of funds under capital expenditure, Chhattisgarh state will soon receive an additional allocation of Rs. 1,874 crore. This amount will be spent on the state’s infrastructure and other important projects.
Capital expenditure (CAPEX) refers to the provision of capital expenses made for infrastructure construction, the creation of new assets, and long-term development in a state or country. It is included in the budget so that government funds can be used for the construction and development of infrastructure such as roads, transport, health, education, and industry.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the Chhattisgarh Govts objective is to strengthen infrastructure and accelerate the state’s overall development. A provision of Rs. 17,000 crore has been made for capital expenditure (state CAPEX) for the financial year 2024-25. This amount is being spent on roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, industrial projects, and irrigation schemes. The additional allocation of Rs. 1,874 crore from the Central Government will help implement new projects, generate employment, and further strengthen the state’s infrastructure.
